| Anonymous | I am studying the origin of some family names that show in different parts of Europe. I am doing this because common names are found in Greece, Lithuania, Spain and Portugal. Well, this may seem strange at a first look, but me and some of my co-workers are starting to believe in a common ancestry, perhaps derived from the Gothic people that spread through Europe just before the end of the Roman Empire. The Goths were present in places close from the Prussian areas, and some Prussian names do show in the list we are researching. Any idea or information? Thanks! |
