Now that the summer is drawing to a close I've been thinking about finding something to do during the cold winter months. One idea that came to mind, is to collect phonetic data on the New Prussian Language. If anyone is prepared to help then please send me some "wav" files of vowels etc., so that I can produce a few spectrograms. I would also appreciate a discussion about what acoustic phonetic data I need to collect.
I am using two packages to help me analyze speech signals - Praat and WaveSurfer. The segmentation and analysis of quite long speech signals is possible with these packages. |

Thanks for the link. I've downloaded the mp3 files and started to analyse the speech signals. Hopefully my pronunciation will improve.
When I have some interesting results I'll let you know. With luck you will not have to wait too long! |
